Description - Lessonwriter is a program that enables teachers to insert text into the program. The program uses the text to create a lesson that includes vocabulary, roots and stems, and questions. The teacher can also insert graphic organizers. The program provides two different types of plans- Sheltered Lessons and Differentiated Lessons.
Use - I really liked this program. We have several students in our school who are English/Language Learners from the aspect that they are new to the United States and those who are low even though English is there first language. I like how this breaks the lesson down to introduce key vocabulary and provide the teacher with worksheet for the students to follow along with the lesson. I think this would be good for all students in middle school because at this age they have great difficulty taking notes and following along.
